24 November 1950, Independence, Wis. --(Special)-- Mrs. Elmer Hestikind, 57, suffered a fatal heart attack in her home here Wednesday at 7:20 p. m. Her body was discovered on the floor near a stove by her husband when he returned to the house after doing the chores. Buffalo County Coroner H. F. Stohr said Mrs. Hestikind died from a heart attack. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:30 p. m, at the Lookout Lutheran church, the Rev. P. M. Bratlie officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. She was born in Chimney Rock January 19, 1893, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Engum, and lived in this area all her life. She is survived by her husband; two sons, Ervin and Elmer, Independence; four sisters, Mrs. J. W. Olson, Mrs. Elmer Vefald, Mrs. Alvin Veum and Mrs. Harmie Hommen, all of Eau Claire; a brother, Myron Engum, Independence, and six grandchildren.
