Marvin Kermit Lee, 82, of Eau Claire went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 5, 2008.

Marvin was born on April 19, 1925, to Christ and Sadie (Engum) Lee of the town of Dover, Buffalo County. He attended Mondovi schools. He was in the U.S. Army when he met Bernice Gorton. They were married on Sept. 11, 1945, in Eau Claire. Marvin worked at Goodrich/Uniroyal until his retirement in 1988. He had 20 years of retirement. He liked motor-homing, boating, cycling, social functions and eating out. He had many friends all over the world, and will be loved and missed by all who knew him.

Marvin is survived by his wife, Bernice; daughters, Robyn Rae (Dwight) Makeeff of Eau Claire and Peggy (Paul) Tardo of Springfield, Mo.; brother, Lawrence (Velda) Lee, of Eau Claire; sisters, Lorraine (Gary) Bergh of Eau Claire, Joyce (Dick) Belden of Eau Claire and Judy (Dennis) Owen of Eau Claire; grandsons, Timothy Tardo, Nathan Tardo and Jeramy Makeeff; granddaughters, Kimberly Makeeff and Lisa Jepsen; and great-grandchildren, Jessica Makeeff and James Comeau.

Marvin was preceded in death by his sons, Rodney Allen Lee and Christopher Marvin Lee; his parents, Christ and Sadie Lee; sister, Mavis Mahr; and brothers, Jarvin Lee and Lester Lee.

The funeral service for Marvin will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, at Smith Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. James Gale officiating. Visitation will begin two hours prior to the funeral service. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery, town of Washington.
