Charles "Chuck" A. Ludwikoski, 81, of Chippewa Falls, died Wednesday, June 4, 2003, at his home.

He was born April 2, 1922, in Eau Claire to Paul and Sophia (Willi) Ludwikoski. He graduated from Eau Claire Senior High School. He served in the U.S. National Guard from 1940-41 and the U.S. Army Air Force during WW II from 1941-45.

Chuck married Louise Tollefson in 1946. In 1970 he married Doris "Tomi" Carr. Doris died in 1989.

He worked at National Presto Industries, owned and operated Redwood Egg Farm, and owned and operated Wissota View Resort in Chippewa Falls for 15 years. He was a member of the Eagles Club.

He is survived by: three daughters, Mary Bundy of Chippewa Falls, Robin (Rory) Ross of Carrollton, Texas, and Carla (Jim) Zender of Springfield, Mo.; two sons, Michael Ludwikoski, Sr., of California, Robert Ludwikoski of Springfield, Mo.; seven grandchildren, Stacey (Robert) Hagberg, Mike Ludwikoski, Jr., Julie (Anthony) Turner, Daniel Zender, Abby Zender, Kelsey Ross, Erin Ross; six great-grandchildren, Alexandria, Corey, Chloe, Lauren, Mika and Hannah; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; 2nd wife, Doris "Tomi"; five brothers, Joseph, Paul, Bernard, John and Frank; two sisters, Rose Golden and Marie Dehnke.

Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. on Sunday, June 8 at the Golden Funeral Home, 1405 N. Clairemont Ave., Eau Claire, with Rev. Edmund Klimek officiating. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery at a later date.

Relatives and friends may call from 5 p.m. until time of the service Sunday at the funeral home.

Chuck was an avid sportsman, National Grand Champion Trapshooter, and excelled and won many bowling and golf tournaments. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his younger years. He always had a great sense of humor. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
