LUCILLE H. KLOSS, 69, of 419 Twin Oak Dr., Altoona, died Thursday, August 12, 1999 at her home.  She was born December 10, 1929 in Fall Creek to Ewald W. and Marion E. (Gunderson) Zimmerman. She graduated from Fall Creek High School with the class of 1947.  Lucille married Duane L. Kloss on November 19, 1949 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Altoona.  

She worked twenty years at Shedd-Brown where she was office manager and then at Northern Colony in Chippewa Falls until retiring in 1991.  Lucille and Duane spent winters in Las Vegas, NV, and summers at their cabin in Chetek.

Lucille was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, where she was a volunteer at the school library and church bingo.

Survivors include her husband, Duane;  a brother, Jerry Zimmerman of Holcombe; her mother-in-law, Lillian A. Kloss of  Altoona;  a brother-in-law, Alvin Jr. of  New Auburn;  a sister-in-law, Lois (Lowell) Olson of Altoona; four aunts, Lillian (John) Statz of Menomonie, Hilda Schlewitz of Eau Claire, Hattie Nye of Elk Mound and Rose Bakkes of St. Paul, MN; an uncle, Edward Gunderson of Mauston;  many nieces, nephews and friends.

Her parents and a sister, Eileen, preceded her in death.

Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Altoona with Father Nobert J. Wilger officiating.  Burial will be in Trinity Cemetery in Fall Creek. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Monday at the Church.  There will be public prayer service at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Her family requests that memorials be directed to St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
