OBIT: Mrs. Emma Veum, 75, of 1427 Bellinger St., Eau Claire, died Wednesday morning, Jan. 29, at Luther Hospital. The former Emma Eide was born Oct. 9, 1899, in the Town of Hale in Trempealeau County and was married Dec. 14, 1929, to Henry Veum at Strum. She had lived in Eau Claire the past 30 years. Survivors include three brothers, Theodore Eide, Strum, Arnold Eide, Osseo, and Ernest Eide, Minneapolis, Minn. Services were held at Osseo Lutheran Church with the Rev. H. P. Walker officiating. Burial was in the Osseo Cemetery.
