Bygdebok: Son Nils Olsen was the next farmer some year. In 1740 he brought forward witnesses at the ting (court) which stated that he was having a difficult time, in large poverty, with both parents bedridden and crippled or disabled and with 4 under age children.
About 1745 his brother Lars became user of the farm. He deeded the farm in 1761 to his son Nils Larsen. He was married to Marit Tollefsd. and had 6 children: one daughter, Mari, was married to Erik Dagfinsen, and they purchased Herberg (farm).

A fire in 1890 destroyed the church records for Biri parish (incl Snertingdal) for the periods 1789-1814 and 1854-1877. Some partial transcriptions made before the fire and some material from 1862 has been preserved. Until 1822 the area Redalen was part of Ringsaker parish in Hedmark.
